[Flirty, Oblivious Straight Man X Cool, Aloof, Secretly Jealous Cutie]
Scheming pursuit of his love, secret crush becomes mutual, healing each other, ridiculously sweet
[1] The brightest rising star in the street dance world falls from grace overnight. Everyone in the scene mourns her loss, but new faces keep appearing, and the once-unreachable figure gradually fades from memory.
No one knows that on that day, eighteen-year-old Xing Ye lay in the very center of the stage, covered in blood. In a single night, she lost her father, who had always doted on her; Tao Ran, her partner and close friend; and the dream of combining martial arts and street dance that she had cherished for so long.
[2] Nineteen-year-old Ouyang feels as if he's lying at the bottom of a dark cliff, indifferent to everything.
The world around him is noisy, and all he can think is how loud it is.
Then a familiar voice speaking Chinese reaches his ears from among the contestants. He looks up and sees a girl throw her head back and laugh out loud. Her smile is like a ray of light, shining across half his face. Suddenly, he wants to climb up and see what it's like.
But when, at twenty-four, Ouyang finally reaches the top of the cliff, he sees that the girl has long since lost her radiance. She stands there, covered in wounds.
[3] Xing Ye holds a basket in both hands and shouts at the giant freshwater prawns in the water, “Can't you see a beautiful woman watching you? Get moving! Start kicking those little legs!”
Ouyang holds a net and follows her instructions. “Xing Ye, I'm so dull. Why are you willing to be with me?”
Xing Ye's eyes are busy following the prawns. “What nonsense are you talking about? Are you dull? Don't you usually insult people with your face?”
Ouyang's hand holding the net stills. After thinking it over, he can't hold it in and lowers his head, laughing.
Only then does Xing Ye look up at him, her eyes full of love. “See? You laugh all the time, too.”
She tells Ouyang to get a plastic bag, then dumps all the prawns into it. Dropping the basket, she takes his hand and starts walking. “Let's pay while they're still fresh. Seafood noodles will taste amazing tonight.”
With Xing Ye holding his left hand and the giant freshwater prawns thrashing in the bag in his right, Ouyang feels that the scene is as bright and vibrant as Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
1. Both are each other's one and only, happy ending.
2. The two of them love and fight each other. One has a sharp tongue, and the other is an idiot (absolutely no insult to the female lead. I'm her real mom; it's the little person in her brain who's an idiot). The little person cries out angrily: “Am I not your kid?”
Theme: Love is that bouquet of flowers hidden behind your back
