He made the bird a splendid cloak and an exquisite crown. The bird slept in his bed and ate the cookies he baked. As the days passed, Luoyang woke up one morning to find the black bird spreading its wings and performing a mating dance for him.

Luoyang: "..."

He had no idea that outside the game, players were staring at the cloak and crown that had inexplicably appeared in the portrait of the most terrifying and powerful mastermind, the Herald of the Lord of Calamity. They wondered which NPC had given them to the Herald as tokens of affection.

The forum was in an uproar. They speculated about every god and even started pointing fingers at the players, never guessing that the items came from an utterly ordinary guide.

Arc: The Guardian of the Mysterious Castle (May be a little sanity-draining)

After losing his parents in an accident, Luoyang was adopted by a distant relative living in another country. He crossed an ocean and arrived at a gloomy, terrifying castle, where he met an elegant, aloof relative.

The castle's servants appeared and disappeared like ghosts. They were exceptionally respectful and deferential in front of the castle's master, but in private, they crushed any explorers who wandered in like bugs. Strange people who claimed to be "players" often appeared in the Black Forest, eager to test the depths of this terrifying dungeon.

While players were chased and hunted by all manner of monsters, screaming and dying, Luoyang was escorted to his study by the person who was, in name, his guardian.

...Then he pulled out 42 sets of mock math exams from past entrance tests.

His guardian told him, "Do your best. Keep it up. If you run out, there are more."

Luoyang: "..."

Luoyang: "Ah! Aaaaaaaaaah!"

Like all the other quest takers, Luoyang was trapped in the castle, until he finally let out a hysterical, deranged scream.

Content warnings: Some arcs feature split incarnations of the gong. The gong's love is extreme and obsessive, and because he's nonhuman, there will be some coercive romance. The shou isn't entirely normal either, or he couldn't accept the gong.

The gong is a fatherly, older gong, with a strong need to control and possess. The shou will be controlled and possessed by the gong. The gongs are all horror BOSSes in their respective worlds. Please note that the gong has split incarnations, and there will be scenes of him going mad and acting deranged; there will be coercion! The shou's pecs really are huge.

The gongs are all nonhuman. They might seem human at first, but will later become nonhuman.

The gong and shou are both sexually inexperienced. Every arc has a happy ending, and the novel has a happy ending.

A deranged gong disguised as a gentle one; a secretly dark, volatile, huge nonhuman gong. The size difference between gong and shou is terrifying, and the shou is very handsome. There is a clichéd, melodramatic pregnancy trope. I'm going all out with this one, so don't read if that bothers you. Everyone involved with the shou is a split incarnation of the gong. The shou becomes a fake reverse harem protagonist later on. Happy ending.

There will be coercion!!! The gong is nonhuman and has ideas that differ from those of ordinary people. He's genuinely deranged and a terrible person, an utterly evil Long Aotian.
