Nakahara Genya never thought he was a child who gave his father headaches. He excelled in school, respected his elders, cared for the young, was as close as could be to his little sister, and was always polite and kind even to his father's subordinates.
His father watched his wonderful son knock an enemy's head off without changing expression, then smile sweetly as he terrified every subordinate in sight. ?
No. This wouldn't do.
His long-dormant PTSD flared up, and his father promptly sent his wonderful son abroad to study. Nakahara Genya, however, clearly had plans of his own.
He thought:
Gotham looked like a great place to get kicked out, become a kept man, and then rise to the top of the world.
And so Nakahara Genya arrived in Gotham. Like every young person who comes to a big city, he was full of "ambitious dreams" of "making a name for himself."
Much later, someone told him:
"Nakahara Genya, you can't be my nemesis, lover, therapist, best friend, soulmate, life coach, and bedmate all at once."
"You know those are different things, right?"
The product of their genes, who truly had no idea how those things were different, fell silent for a moment before replying:
", Why not?"
Desire is intense, but so fragile. He ought to greedily seize every feeling the other person had for him, every glance, then swallow them all whole to fill the old scars in his heart.
He had the right to do it. He had the power to do it.
Catch him, capture him, keep him trapped, touch him, kiss him, and finally make him his.
So why not?

A lighthearted comedy blending romance, family, and comedy routines (?, ).
Mini-scene:
"You don't get it," Nakahara Genya said. "Every face in their family looks like it says, 'Seeking a long-term partner, but not a long-term relationship.'"
"I really don't get it. You two hit it off even when that person was wearing a mask, but now you're face-to-face and you're still dragging your feet," Nakahara Etsuki said, unable to understand what he was being so fussy about. "Besides, someone went diving to die for love with another person, but only the other one sank while they climbed back up. Does our family sound all that innocent?"

Dad in heaven says nothing, while the kids on earth laugh like dutiful children.
1. The CP is the little red bird.
2. The protagonist is the product of the Double Black genes from the Beastars stage play (a distinctive American-comics trait), and he's a pervert (?). So this story has a lot of Dazai and Chuuya content. He also has a sister who is the product of the same experiment. She returns to Yokohama while the protagonist marries into a Gotham family (XD). Hence the alternate title: "A Crossover Clash of American and Japanese Comics."
3. This is a passion project set in the DC universe. The author is still struggling to catch up on the comics, cartoons, movies, and games, so there will inevitably be some stereotypical portrayals of DC characters, and probably some OOC as well.
Theme: There is always a ray of light shining through.
