My Roommate, Osamu Dazai

I'm a manga artist visiting Yokohama to clear my head. I rented a balcony room in a seaside villa. My roommate is a handsome young man in bandages who keeps odd hours. He asked me to pretend to be his wife. It was the dying wish of his father, who was on the verge of death.

He offered me a hefty sum as payment, so naturally I had no reason to refuse.

I wasn't at all worried he might have ulterior motives. My true identity is Thorn Rose, the number-one professional assassin in the underworld.

My real reason for coming to Yokohama this time was to find the youngest leader of the Port Mafia, kill him, and steal the Book.

My fake husband and I truly fell in love.

I was still searching for my target. In the meantime, I was assigned countless other missions, big and small. One of the latest went like this: The leader has gotten married. Make sure to eliminate his wife, too.

I did my best to hide my identity as an assassin. After all, my husband was just a fragile, artistic young man who bruised easily.

That is, until I failed to assassinate that executive and was locked up in the most dreaded interrogation room in the Port Mafia.

That's when I learned that my husband was my target. And I was the “leader's wife” who needed to be eliminated... I have to kill myself...?

I didn't know that he had reincarnated in this world countless times.

In the path fate had set, I was the only variable.
