Plot-focused: After the Survey Corps returned from their twenty-eighth expedition beyond the walls, Erwin suppressed some of the intelligence they had brought back. At the same time, tensions between the Military Police and the merchants' guild erupted! The King ordered Erwin to investigate the truth!

To obtain information about the world beyond the walls, Erwin decided to have members of the Survey Corps investigate the merchants' guild undercover and capture the mastermind!

However, the person behind it all had a special relationship with Hange. Erwin initially planned to have Hange approach them and win their trust, but after much deliberation, Hange refused to meet and talk with them again!

After Levi and Mike infiltrated the merchants' guild, they spotted Hange acting alone...

They uncovered an incredible secret!

Romance-focused:

Ever since witnessing the deaths of Isabel and Farlan, Levi had avoided getting too close to the others in the Survey Corps. Hange, however, was always warm and encouraging toward him. Levi would sometimes respond, but Erwin still thought something had happened between them that had left their relationship unresolved.

After returning from an expedition beyond the walls, Levi realized that Hange and Erwin shared a secret, and that Hange seemed deeply shaken by it. He decided to break the ice and mend their relationship.

By the way, some references from the original series will appear in this story.

The sequel is in another book, The Infinite Blade.

There are original characters, but they don't interfere with the protagonists. They're just an expansion of the story, that's all~
