Spring's Message Comes Late

Qinghe was the least liked girl in the Yu family: dull, boring, and taciturn. She was used to being ignored, used to fading into the background beside her sisters.

One day, she received a love letter from Danrong.

Someone as good-for-nothing as her was loved by the man every woman in the capital admired!

Little by little, she stopped keeping her head down. She stopped saying "yes" to everything.

People began to notice her.

At a flower banquet, the letter was discovered and passed around from hand to hand.

Everyone laughed.

It turned out Danrong hadn't written the letter at all. Her sisters had only been playing a joke on her.

Qinghe was so mortified she wanted to die.

A hand picked the letter up from the ground.

The man as cool as an icy moon began to read aloud the bold, passionate "lewd words" written on the page.

Stars shimmered faintly in Danrong's eyes, and a rosy tint brushed his ears.

"I'd waited so long for your reply that I had to come and ask you for it myself."

The noisy courtyard fell silent.

At first, Danrong thought she was crazy.

Later, Danrong thought he was crazy.
