◆Selfcest. Just tossing an idea out here; I'll revise it before starting the story.
◆Blurb:
Nishikawa Yuri is an ordinary chuunibyou high school student, asked to take over for his otherworldly self.
Without his knowledge, two versions of him from the same point in time are sent to different timelines in the Detective Conan world.
The version in the Year One of the Organization gets a glimpse of his future persona: What the hell! A total overachiever, able to build a nuclear bomb from scratch in theory and crack a Roman column with one punch! He can chase submarines by swimming through the sea and outrun a car on foot? Dude, are you a Super Saiyan? You're a shoo-in to be the Boss of the Organization!
The version in the Year One of Detective Conan gets a glimpse of his past persona: What the hell! Antisocial, gloomy, no friends, barely speaks, and skilled at every illegal trick in the book, yet you live near the Metropolitan Police Department? You haven't been arrested? Someone like you ought to join the police academy and become a future undercover agent. You're destined to be the superintendent!
When the two timelines converge, they grab each other by the shoulders and shake.
Year One of the Organization: I laid the groundwork for you to become the heir, and you're telling me you defected?!
Year One of Detective Conan: You live near the Metropolitan Police Department, and you're telling me it's for gathering intelligence?!
...Help! You can't sabotage yourself like this. How am I supposed to deal with my future persona?
Forget it. There can only be one Nishikawa Yuri in the outside world, so we'll take turns working one day at a time and just get by for now...
◆Two similar chuunibyou boys make for one extraordinary self.
◆Reader's Note:
1. Selfcest. Everyone thinks the protagonist has dissociative identity disorder. No twin theory.
2. Lighthearted, slice-of-life comedy. Some original-setting details will be changed.
3. The author has OCD and will revise the story many times. Assume typos will be fixed.
