The twenty-fifth day of the first month of the twenty-first year of Xuanhe.
At fifty, Shen Mingxin died of illness at his post, full of resentment. When he opened his eyes, he had been reborn in the year he was twenty-two.
He meets his beloved again, and new troubles arise. The court is rife with intrigue, and the borderlands are beset by unrest. The road ahead is long. Will being reborn truly make everything easier? Can all regrets really be rewritten?
Shen Mingxin x Pei Shu
A gong who cries easily x a shou who can endure a lot
Note:
The roadside stall is open again, and I still can't write a blurb.
A serious drama, focused on the plot. I'm revising it now, so updates are irregular.
Inspired by the mid-Tang period, but I'll adjust things as needed, so there's no need to nitpick the historical details.
There will be some specialized terms, such as official titles and systems. Anything that needs explaining will be covered in the author's notes. You can treat it as popular education. It's not hard, really.
No character is perfect. The gong and shou both have their flaws, but neither of them is stupid.
This isn't exactly a groveling-for-forgiveness story, and neither lead is a scumbag.
Comments are very welcome, but please don't use abbreviations. I can't guess what they mean.
