Lian Zhao died of hiccups in her previous life.
She hiccupped during her coming-of-age trial, and her life as a demon lost all its color from that day on.
She thought no demon could be more unlucky than her, until she picked up Granny Jade Pendant, who had choked to death.
Lian Zhao: I know this one.
Once they picked up one more unusual person, the three of them became a group.
Then one day, her mother was reborn.
Lian Zheng: "I spent half my life at war, making a name for myself. Who would've thought I'd be ambushed one day by a corpse of a scoundrel..."
"Ahem, there's not much room in this blurb. How about we get to the point?"
Lian Zheng: "Fine. I want to establish an academy."
Lian Zhao: I know this one too.
She turned around, picked up a megaphone, and shouted, "Food, lodging, and training all in one! Zombies to act out the scenarios! Apocalypse Training Camp is recruiting now! Call 987-987-98887 to sign up!"
The Gifted Academy was full of talent: the shonen manga protagonist who saves the world, the author of a power fantasy with the gift of prophecy, a hopping zombie from an old movie, an interstellar god of war who spends every day firing away... They all found a direction in life here, or a little chicken soup for the soul.
Only Lian Zhao belatedly realized that this world seemed to have been transmigrated into full of holes...
On the yellow earth, tales of the Gifted Academy spread far and wide. Its three teachers became figures the zombie hordes dared not even speak of.
They say Teacher Lian Zheng is ruthless and decisive. Her students strike viciously, bursting their targets with a single blow, and are all incredibly strong.
They say Granny Jade Pendant is an expert at making corpses disappear. She can clear away a sea of blood and severed limbs in three seconds, and has her own methods for controlling the budget.
The last one, Teacher Lian Zhao, has powers that seem less direct than those of the other two, but she terrifies every zombie.
Because Zhao in Lian Zhao's name means recruiting, and she's recruiting corpses.
Reader's guide:
- A promising demon who died of hiccups + a native mother who was reborn + Granny Jade Pendant who choked to death, along with several recurring guests
- A lighthearted episodic story. Each episode features different guests, and some may return
- Light on fighting, heavy on daily life. The scenario-play budget is limited, so the action stays small-scale
- Lian Zhao is a nickname. The main text will probably use her full name
Theme: Face challenges without fear, and meet life with a smile
