You Fanling, a fallen immortal and the infamous number-one female demon of the Six Realms.
Before she fell to demonic ways, she had a spiritual bone. By the time she was a hundred, her talent for magic had swept the Six Realms. She'd once been the youngest Moon Lord in the Ninth Heaven, with a brilliant future ahead of her.
After falling to demonic ways, the only serious thing left in her life was resurrecting her beloved, whose soul and spirit had been utterly destroyed.
Resurrection required four divine objects: a dragon bone, a heavenly eye, essence blood, and a heartfire. Each was held by one of the four most powerful figures in the Six Realms.
You Fanling slapped her thigh. “Come on, all I have to do is make them fall for me? I know how to do that!”
So she split herself into four secret identities, and fooled the young master of Zhuyin, the new Moon God, the half-blood Demon Venerable, and the White Phoenix Heavenly Emperor, one after another.
She tricked one, faked her death with another, and moved from one mark to the next with practiced ease and not a twinge of guilt.
But things always went wrong when she least expected it.
Just as she'd gathered all the ingredients and was preparing to retire in triumph, the four men, who should never have crossed paths, blocked her way at the same time.
You Fanling formed a hand seal, thinking they had come for revenge and that a bloody battle was inevitable.
But then she saw
The young master of Zhuyin had traded his red robes for pure white ones. Tugging at her sleeve, he asked softly, “Do I look more like him this way?”
The new Moon God had been diligently practicing her beloved's signature technique. He looked at her expectantly. “A Ling, how was my Flowing Wind, Returning Snow?”
The half-blood Demon Venerable drank a secret potion that could turn a demon into an immortal. Squinting at her with a teasing smile, he said, “You once said my temperament was the most like his. What about now? Does this make you think of him more?”
The White Phoenix Heavenly Emperor used a secret technique to force a red mole into the corner of his eye. His calm tone betrayed a hint of madness. “Now I look exactly like my older brother. He can do it, so why can't I?”
