A game called the Protagonist Development System mysteriously appeared on Lin Luoze's phone. He had to draw different protagonists and raise them to save the world from the apocalypse.
The next day, he transmigrated into the game.
The good news was that his game System came with him.
The bad news was, why were the creatures he drew, who were called protagonists but were actually unspeakable horrors, all so dark and twisted?
Protagonist A, the darkening type, was the former savior who had been betrayed and killed by his companions. Reborn, he became cold and ruthless, no longer believing in so-called feelings or bonds.
The guy was a strong fighter. He repeatedly led Lin Luoze, who had awakened a water-based ability, out of danger. Lin Luoze was deeply moved. "He's cold and ruthless, but maybe he's a good person after all."
The System suddenly realized:
[Wait, A's ability is devouring!]
[He's after your ability. Run!]
Lin Luoze ran. He didn't get away.
"Why run?" the protagonist asked evenly. If not for the hand gripping the back of Lin Luoze's neck, the young man might even have seemed amiable. He chuckled and asked, "So, are you going to betray me too?"
[Congratulations, player. You've triggered a bad ending: Abandoned Emergency Water Supply.]
The System promised Lin Luoze that the next protagonist would absolutely not be as cruel. Lin Luoze didn't trust the System's choice of words. Using the rewind function, he escaped the vicious Protagonist Number One before A went berserk.
Popular Protagonist B was a beautiful young man with a collector's hobby. Amid the corpses, the young man set down the dead contaminant. A few streaks of blood marked his face, and his smile was exquisite.
The contaminant dissolved into a pool of blood, transforming into a brand-new creature that obeyed only the young man: another addition to his collection.
The pure, flawless young man stood surrounded by a horde of contaminants. His tone was earnest and his smile radiant as he invited Lin Luoze, "Big Brother, would you become my one and only, most unique collection?"
The System wailed, [Host! The 'people' in 'popular with everyone' means the contaminants!]
Surrounded by the horde, Lin Luoze berated it. "Something this life-threatening should've been explained sooner, you bastard!"
[Congratulations, player. You've triggered a bad ending: The Only Treasure in a Sea of Blood.]
After being tormented by two creatures who were called protagonists but were actually perverts, Lin Luoze was unshaken. He would never believe another word the System said.
But Protagonist C was different from A and B.
He was a good person. He trained Lin Luoze and taught him how to fight. Aside from being a little directionally challenged, he had no faults at all.
C was a genuinely good person!
Lin Luoze's hope in the world rekindled, until one day C held a long blade under his chin and forced him to look up.
The young man's eyes were full of confusion and indifference.
C frowned and asked, "Who are you?"
[Congratulations, player. You've triggered a bad ending: 'Stranger.']
The System frantically flipped through its protagonist character guide, then choked out,
[I found it! Help, Host! C is face-blind!]
