Zhou Xi is a food blogger who has just lost her sense of taste, and she wants to return to her seaside hometown to clear her head.

But the first time she sees her handsome neighbor, her heart starts to flutter. Her tongue may be numb to food, so perhaps she should look for some other kind of stimulation?

Her neighbor is Qin Lang, a witty, flirtatious pilot.

He can sling her over his shoulder with one arm, hold her hand in a quiet corner of a bar, and, on an unsettling night, whisper the plane's announcements in her ear to soothe her to sleep.

Zhou Xi stays clearheaded, treating their relationship as a chance encounter on a trip.

But he says that if she's going to have a serious relationship with him for just one day, she might as well give him the title of "ex-boyfriend."

That day, they held each other with abandon. Turns out even a clear head can fall into passion.

She thought the story ended there, and that they'd never have anything to do with each other again.

To her surprise, one morning when she opened the door, she saw him sitting on his suitcase and gazing up at her miserably. His voice was low as he said,

"I was bluffing. I'm not doing well at all. I miss you so much it hurts."
