I once saw an author say that if you want to create a truly good work, you should be prepared to write at least 300,000 words of garbage first.
Suddenly, I realized that was a very good reason for me to convince myself to keep going! Whenever I look down on the rubbish I've written and feel like giving up, I tell myself: You're still in the garbage phase! What more could you ask for?
And so I carry on writing, perfectly at ease, while still complaining about it...
I've now amassed one-sixth of my garbage... Just keeping a record.
I hope that even if it's garbage, it can slowly upgrade from hazardous waste to recyclable waste. Hang in there!
