Bonus chapters will drop from time to time~
Please add my upcoming historical danmei novel, The Regent Is a Little Annoyed, to your favorites.
Pei Shu transmigrates into a book, a tale of conquest called I Become a Tyrant in a Chaotic World.
The original character shares his name and is a cast-off husband, a typical cannon-fodder character who died very early.
Surviving in a world like this is no easy feat.
In these chaotic times, refugees scatter, fields go untilled, and bandits roam...
The only way to find a sliver of hope is to seek shelter by pledging yourself to someone.
Pei Shu enters the game as a strategist. He has no intention of following the crowd and supporting the protagonist who ultimately conquers the realm in the original book.
The protagonist's success is too bizarre, clearly a contrived victory the author forced in after running out of ideas. It's utterly unbelievable.
In Pei Shu's eyes, among all the rival warlords, the short-lived rebel leader Sang Jue is the one who truly deserves to rule.
But in the original book, the young leader is betrayed by his subordinates and, with tragic resolve, takes his own life at a cliff. He's a classic tragic figure.
Pei Shu resolves to save Sang Jue, drive out the vile villains, support a worthy ruler, and make a name for himself in this world!
So, dressed in a blue robe and holding a jade fan, he sets out to find his lord.
Becoming the lord's trusted strategist is no easy task.
But Pei Shu has a foolproof method: retreat in order to advance. It's also known as "tea art."
As they besiege a city, Strategist A repeatedly urges Sang Jue to massacre the inhabitants and eliminate future threats.
Pei Shu: "Absolutely not."
Strategist A: "A lowly guest adviser has a narrow perspective. Great King, don't listen to him."
Pei Shu hides his face behind his fan, his peach-blossom eyes brimming with tears.
"I only worry about you, Great King. I am thinking of how to bring all beneath heaven under your rule. My position is lowly, but if my humble words can reach you, I will die content."
Strategist A: Why does he smell like a green tea schemer?
The other strategists grow increasingly displeased with Pei Shu and intend to drive him away.
Pei Shu dabs his face with his sleeve. "If my leaving can make you all happy, then it will be worth it. I only regret that I won't be able to serve the Great King anymore, or see his magnificent bearing..."
Sang Jue, arriving behind him: What is Pei Qing up to now?
Sang Jue always thought Pei Shu was just weak, a bit of a crybaby, and a bit of a green tea schemer. But sometimes he has his doubts...
"Great King, this is bad! Pei Lang stole the drummer's mallet again and is beating the war drum on the city wall!"
Sang Jue pauses in shock. "Let him beat it!"
"Great King, it's the decisive battle today, and Pei Lang climbed up to the tower and shot thirteen enemy soldiers with a bow!"
Sang Jue isn't surprised anymore. "Let him shoot!"
"Great King, Pei Lang personally hacked a traitor to death today!"
Sang Jue takes it in stride. "If Pei Qing killed him, he must have deserved it."
Sang Jue goes to find Pei Shu, intending to tell him that he likes him just as he is and that he doesn't need to suppress his true nature.
Then he sees Pei Shu alone.
A gust of wind blows. Pei Shu walks by as if nothing happened, then stops three steps later.
He not only adds two coughs, but also smooths his hair and lowers his head with a faint smile. "Oh my~ It's so windy today~~"
Sang Jue: …
Confirmed. It's just a personal hobby.
Sang Jue turns around. No matter what Pei Qing is like, he won't let him go.
Little Scene
Sang Jue: "Pei Qing, how do you tell someone you like them?"
Pei Shu: "Great King, I adore you. May your heart be like mine, and may this love never end..."
Sang Jue: "Enough. Keep it simple."
Pei Shu: "Bro, you smell so good."
A beautiful bottom who seems meek and acts like a green tea schemer, but spends all day wanting to conquer heaven and earth
A handsome, sharp-edged top from a refugee background, with the bearing of a leader and an unusual sense of taste
Reading Guide:
1. Geography, official titles, and the like draw on various dynasties, mainly the Tang and Song, but this is not historically rigorous. Not rigorous, not rigorous, not rigorous!!!
2. The main focus is romance. The plot only needs to satisfy basic logic, and may contain bugs.
3. I hope you all enjoy reading~
4. A heads-up: the green tea schemer characterization becomes less prominent in the middle and later parts, so think carefully before diving in!
Synopsis dated 2025-04-15
Theme: Be happy being yourself.
The original owner and Zhuang Han were husband and wife in name only, and there was no real relationship, right? They got married before leaving the city. Zhuang Han fell in love with the princess on the way, so he just divorced when they arrived in the new city? According to this process, the original owner should not have had a relationship with him. At most, it was a friendship between childhood sweethearts.
Wow, that's a bit unexpected
Shopkeeper Qian, shouldn't Yan Dong be Shopkeeper Yan?
I really like the ancient custom of calling each other cousins. If modern people didn't have this custom, they wouldn't have this flavor.
It's so cool, but it scares me a little bit.
The refugees rioted in early summer, and the rebel army died in June. The original book was offline so quickly.
After writing these few chapters, I finally understand why there is no traffic.
What does Lang Jun mean?
It's okay. Why are there so few comments? It's not a new Gugu.
Why is it locked? I want to watch 😭 😭
