After a Demon Summons an Anthropologist in the Ninja World

A young exorcist who wants to build up the exorcism trade in the ninja world summons a huge, fearsome masked demon beast one day.

He's suspicious, has a strange look in his eyes, and is always staring at her with a gleam in them. She thinks he's looking for a chance to eat her.

But later she discovers that he's just so nervous and excited to finally meet a human.

This demon is nothing like the terrifying creature of legend. Not only does he love humans, he also has a built-in "mom friend" personality.

Oh no! It looks like she summoned a demon from a different system!

Full synopsis:

After the ninjas apparently fought and defeated a god, the exorcism business dried up even further.

The young exorcist had given up on building up the family business, but on a whim, she decided to try summoning a demon to serve her.

While drawing the magic circle, she forgot to offer a sacrifice because her studies were lacking and she didn't know much about demonic script.

The summoning spell should have failed, but it actually brought forth a giant demon.

The towering demon was all muscle and seemed to be wearing a muzzle, radiating a terrifying aura that warned everyone to keep their distance.

The exorcist realized that the master-servant contract hadn't been formed and thought she was done for. She had already hidden her weapon behind her back.

But when she met the towering demon's gaze, he was the one who jumped back in fright.

Could my face be scary in the demon world? the baffled exorcist wondered.

After getting to know the demon, who claimed to have studied imaginary creatures like humans extensively, the young exorcist decided he must be an oddball among demons.

What kind of demon dreams of seeing humans in person?

Balam Shichiro, a demon teacher known in the demon world as the "White Raven of Protection," had a keen interest in living things and an intense desire to study humans. He was thrilled to be inexplicably summoned by one.

Humans were tiny, yet even more fascinating than he had imagined. He really wanted to touch one.

The demon's research proposals were always rejected, so he could only do his best to carry out the tasks his human summoner gave him and earn permission to touch her.

But how was a single demon supposed to help the young exorcist win over a human ninja?
