A Thousand Blessings Upon This Concubine

1,

Sui Yi is a maid in the Jing'an Marquis's household.

Even maids have ambitions. She doesn't want to spend her whole life beneath everyone else, much less have her children become servants too.

She wants to make a future for herself. Even if things end badly, at least she'll have tried.

For this, Sui Yi makes plans and schemes with all her might.

She engineers chance encounters and accidents, deliberately seducing him... all for the chance to become one man's concubine.

2,

At first, Shen Yanrong has little interest in women, and pays no mind to the little maid who keeps appearing before him in all sorts of poses.

What use is stunning beauty compared to hitting a target from a hundred paces?

What use is a charming companion compared to a spear in hand?

Until one day, Shen Yanrong hears his elder brother lamenting, "Miss Sui Yi seems to have feelings for me..."

Jealous anger flares in his heart, and only then does Shen Yanrong realize that the little maid he'd looked down on has long since stirred ripples in his heart.
