The Older Sister Living Next Door

·

When Zhou Liman got home from her night shift, Xu Yanzhen was sitting outside her door, curled into a ball, with only her fluffy head visible.

"If you're sick, go to the hospital."

"I'm staying right here." Xu Yanzhen looked up with red-rimmed eyes. "I can cook, do laundry, and clean your apartment. Anyway, I'm going to live here."

Taking a stray dog home was hardly any trouble. Xu Yanzhen knew Zhou Liman wouldn't turn her away.

It was the eleventh day since she'd fallen out with her family for Zhou Liman. She'd spent all her savings and was pitifully hiding in a rented room when she finally got her first filling meal in eleven days. Zhou Liman had made it for her.

This woman always wrapped herself in a hard shell. She didn't care about family, didn't need friends, and had no interest in love, so she had no idea Xu Yanzhen loved her.

And she didn't know that the eleventh day after Xu Yanzhen left home was the beginning of her independence.
