A short GB story, complete in one installment.
A possessive girl you should never engage with if you meet her × a possessive guy who should turn and run without hesitation if he meets her
Ji Tiao × Tang He
In short: made for each other
"Keep your eyes on mine. Don't hide anything from me."
"Let's make a bet. Bet on whether I'll dig out my heart and show it to you."
The short version:
Ji Tiao first met Tang He on the grass beneath a bridge. One was trying to drown himself, the other was watching the show. In the end, the one who'd tried to drown himself got out of the water and locked eyes with the spectator.
They met for the second time in the boys' restroom. One had just been beaten up, the other had just snitched. As they watched a teacher lecture someone, the one who'd reported it glanced over at the poor thing sitting on the floor with his head bowed, simply because he was bored.
They met for the third time beneath a willow tree. One held up a pink envelope and confessed his love, while the other crouched on the ground watching ants carry food. The one holding the letter had a blank expression. The one watching the ants struggled for ages before managing to say, "It's going to rain."
They met for the fourth time at the place where they'd first met. One looked up at the person in front of him, tears streaming down his blank face. The other lowered his eyes slightly to look at the person crouched in front of him, digging a hole to bury a dead cat. The one with the blank expression forced a smile, and the one with lowered eyes handed over a black umbrella.
Wildflowers and weeds sat beside the little mound of earth. The spring breeze could not conceal the vines climbing upward.
Everything went as she wished, and from then on, a budding rose bloomed in her hands.
"Everything, all of it. I want to know it all."
"Okay."
Theme: Moving forward hand in hand to build a better society.
