But a few words temporarily written into the "Book" gave him another chance to return to that place.
--What does it feel like to revisit a place from the past?

A hundred years ago, Karasuma Renya once saw a precious golden deity. After that, he developed a fear of the sun and became the deity's twisted devotee.
But later, the deity was gone. Some said he had witnessed a world at peace and chosen to retreat into the mountains. Others said he was curious about the world beyond and had gone wandering through the cosmos. All Karasuma Renya could find were vague, ethereal legends.
He had always wanted to possess the deity. At last, he was given an opportunity: after the Decay of the Angels incident ended, he obtained one page of the "Book."
So, without a moment's hesitation, he wrote on it:
"A hundred years after the deity's departure, he will appear for the first time in [this land]."

This is a fantastical world. Mountains, rivers, and lakes have consciousness, and human legends can take shape. In the lands of the East, there are figures like the Grand Historian, the Soul of Poetry, the River Earl, and the Madman of Chu.
They now live in the present day, at their leisure.
