I Got Rich After Being Forced to Start a Pet Boarding Business

Zhou Yinlu clearly knows that she's a minor female character in a novel, part of the supporting cast who helps the heroine along. She doesn't even get an ending in the story. After one brief, uneventful appearance, she never gets another chance to show up.

Zhou Yinlu is more or less satisfied with that ending. But she still resents the fact that she's been a corporate drone throughout the story. After all, who wants to go to work every day?

Things began to turn around one evening.

Her boss brought a dog to work, and it took a liking to her.

After that, more and more cats, dogs, mice, and turtles took a liking to her.

Because these adorable little creatures adored her, Zhou Yinlu was forced to start a pet-sitting business.

As her menagerie grew, Zhou Yinlu discovered for the first time that she could actually earn so much money it became a problem. She was baffled: why did more and more pets keep getting sent her way?

In the pet-owning community, unbeknownst to Zhou Yinlu, there's a rumor about a naturally gifted pet caretaker. Pets left in her care are not only looked after wonderfully, but have their troubles eased, too. Unhappy pets become cheerful, irritable ones grow calm, and even pets on the verge of death can live a couple of days longer with her.
