In the world of demon-beast taming, tamers struggle with low-tier demon beasts, while Ruan Shiwei starts out with the highest-tier demon beast of all!
Everyone mocks her, saying her beast does not even recognize her. Yet it loyally wags its tiger tail and obeys its master's every command!
Their jaws drop to the floor.
Other demon beasts are vicious and terrifyingly ferocious.
Meanwhile, Ruan Shiwei's beast begs her every day for kisses and cuddles, and to hold its paw and pet its fur.
The tamers' eyes nearly pop out of their heads.
Ruan Shiwei thinks her well-behaved beast is too pitiful, so she never takes it to train.
The tamers mock her, saying her beast will regress.
But despite having a [Training Completed: 0] record, her well-behaved beast makes elite demon beasts surrender one after another, waving the white flag.
Everyone's understanding of beast taming is completely overturned.
The tamers cry, "Y-You! Do you have a System or a golden finger or something?!"
Ruan Shiwei replies, "Huh? What's that?"
It is not until Ruan Shiwei is sent to visit the Demon King that she learns, upon reaching Demon Mountain, that the Demon King is her ex-boyfriend Ye Hongying, the one she had a huge fight with and broke up with three years ago!
Ruan Shiwei hurriedly sends a magical letter to curry favor with the Demon King. The recipient is clearly listed as Ye Hongying, but the letter she just sent flutters through the air and lands with pinpoint accuracy right on her well-behaved beast's head?!
Noticing the look on Ruan Shiwei's face, as if she had seen a ghost, Ye Hongying thinks, This is bad! He quickly blinks his big, sparkling eyes, trying to win back her trust.
Ruan Shiwei writes three or four more letters to her ex, one after another. Guided by magical energy, the pages bury the well-behaved beast's head like a little hill!
Ruan Shiwei's eyes nearly pop out of her head. Meanwhile, Ye Hongying, whose identity has been exposed, meekly retreats to the corner. "Whimper..."
As the Demon King of his era, Ye Hongying's cultivation has long since reached the pinnacle. No one knows that his true form is a giant black tiger.
Knowing how much Ruan Shiwei loves pets, after being forced into a one-sided breakup with her, Ye Hongying uses his pet-beast identity to keep lying peacefully in her arms, breathing in her scent.
But he never imagined that one day the secret identity he had so carefully maintained would be exposed from top to bottom.
"Are you getting a new pet?" Ye Hongying asks casually. When Ruan Shiwei says nothing, the gloom in his eyes becomes harder and harder to hide.
"I'd advise you not to. Otherwise, you know how it is: demon beasts can change their appearance. Any one you bring home... could still be me."
