High school setting, mutual crushes and personal growth.
Protagonist A: quirky, a chatterbox, innocent and sincere.
Protagonist B: resilient and independent, kindhearted, free-spirited and brave.
Story synopsis:
Two deskmates with very different personalities gradually fall for each other as they spend time together. They help each other discover who they are and find their dreams, then head together toward the college life they've been looking forward to.
Story style:
Quiet everyday life, with lots of inner monologue. The writing is... melodramatic. Give it a try. If we're on the same wavelength, you won't be too disappointed.
*Notes for readers:
1. This is really for people who feel lost or discouraged as they grow up. The two protagonists' growth is the main storyline, with the greatest emphasis on freedom, courage, and perseverance.
2. It's not a typical unrequited-love story or a typical redemption story. The central idea is "love yourself" and make peace with yourself.
3. It's quiet, very quiet. Like a cup of warm water. But a cup of warm water before bed might not be so bad.
4. There's no need to be too harsh on Wensheng's mother. A controlling mother must have a more hidden power behind her, and there's no need to spell out who holds that power.
I didn't write a conventional blurb because there really isn't a central hook worth highlighting, nor any intense conflicts. The narration is fairly loose, without so many emotional highs and lows.
But this is the last time I'll write this way. In my next book, I'll focus on the story itself, use leaner prose, and cut out pointless metaphors and inner monologues. So, if fate allows, see you in the next one!

I really like the purity and spirit of the young people in this story. Many times it reminds me of the dazzling intersection I experienced in high school, with some sighs scattered in the wind. They are lucky enough, but more importantly, they are tenacious enough. Thank you to the author for creating the entrance to this small world. I wish you peace and freedom.
