Once, there was someone in Chen Yiran's world.

That person was her closest family, perfect in every way, with nothing at all to fault.

But ever since Chen Yiran could remember, that person had never once received even a hint of affection or favor from anyone around them. They lived an utterly ordinary life in the shadow of Chen Yiran.

One day, that person left.

And a corner of the world she had built came crashing down.

Parents: "We only have one daughter. Are you still half asleep?"

Friends: "Are you stupid? You've always been an only child!"

Chen Yiran: "...What?"

She searched her entire world.

But she never found that person.

He was simply nearby, watching a butterfly beat its wings.

But his arrival also left the butterfly unable to fly.

All he could do was bring his hands together and carefully cradle her in them.
