When her career hits a bottleneck, Jiang Xiyue returns to Baicheng and takes a job delivering takeout late at night.
One night, she delivers several orders to the nurses' station at a hospital.
At the end of the hallway, a figure approaches against the light, refined and striking, with a tall, slender build. The wind blowing in through the glass doors stirs the hem of his white coat and the strands of hair that conceal his emotions beneath the cold lights.
Blushing, a nurse whispers to Jiang Xiyue, "That's Dr. Fu from neurosurgery, the unattainable beauty of our hospital."
Jiang Xiyue lifts her eyes and meets Fu Ruoyu's gaze, her expression distant and unfamiliar. "Hello, Dr. Fu."

At midnight, outside her front door, someone grabs her wrist and pins her against the wall.
The man has taken off his white coat. The clean, sharp line of his jaw looks even more striking, and the intensity in his eyes leaves no trace of his former restraint.
Fu Ruoyu says, "You dare come back? Have you forgotten what I told you?"
His voice is cold and terse.
Jiang Xiyue's red lips curve into a smile. She rises onto her toes and casually brushes the inside of the man's calf with her foot.
Her voice is teasing. "I remember. You said you were going to kill me."

On the day the college entrance exams end, the entire campus is covered in scraps of paper and books, fluttering down like heavy snow.
Jiang Xiyue grabs the top student in their grade and corners him in a deserted spot.
She gazes at the moisture and blood on his thin lips and smiles boldly. "Fu Ruoyu, remember this: no matter how many girlfriends you have in the future, your first kiss belongs to me."

Later, beneath the hazy glow of intimate lights, the man embraces her from behind, murmuring tender words beside her pillow.
"Don't leave. Let's get married."
