When Rei Furuya Got a Fanfic Buff

This is a story about Jianggu Ling being caught up in a fanfic world, and about Zhu Fu Jingguang getting his hands on a childhood-friends fanfic featuring him.

This is a story about comedic Jianggu Ling and snarky Zhu Fu Jingguang, as well as the people around them who get dragged into the chaos.

At some point, unusual things started happening around Jianggu Ling all the time. Mysterious boys and girls with strange qualities would suddenly appear at his side. He would often stumble upon someone being bullied, get harassed by weird uncles, aunties, and classmates, and find himself in one unavoidable lucky-pervert situation after another.

From the moment Zhu Fu Jingguang met the blonde child, he found himself with a strange book. For a while, he thought its contents were prophecies, until he realized that Zero seemed to have way too many love interests, and that neither his childhood friend nor the people interested in him seemed quite normal. Then he saw himself die in the manga, come back to life, die again and become a ghost, come back as a cat demon, and so on. At last, he was sure: this thing was fanfiction (deadpan).

To keep his childhood friend from getting swept up in a fanfic plot, Zhu Fu Jingguang does his utmost to play the gallant protector and fend off all the people who look suspiciously abnormal.

Content warnings:

1. There will be lots of explicit fantasies and scenes involving random bystanders, as well as plenty of original characters!

2. The author doesn't read dream-girl stories or stories where Tohru is the pursuer, so many plot points are pure personal fantasy. If that bothers you, proceed with caution!
