"I don't have a Vision like those special people, nor can I change elements like the Traveler from another world. I'm just an ordinary gourmet.
I took the necklace that came from the same world as me and roamed across Teyvat, hoping to find delicious food and someone to spend my life with.
But, bro Aether, could you stop stealing my hops already? That's not how you brew alcohol!"
As a gourmet from China, Mulin couldn't understand how buying a fake blue crystal pendant necklace at a dollar store had suddenly made him transmigrate into the game wearing it...
And the worst part was, he'd only watched his roommate play the game. Apart from knowing it was an open world, he knew absolutely nothing about it!
So now that he'd arrived in Teyvat with a blue crystal necklace of unknown use, could an ordinary person and food lover like him survive in this world where elements blossomed everywhere?
And it was one thing for the cooking skills he'd picked up just to survive to attract Hilichurls and Abyss Mages, but why did everyone call him a gourmet when he traveled to other nations? When had he gotten that title, and how had it spread?
Just as Mulin was racking his brains over it, a familiar golden figure appeared beside him. Well, now he knew who was responsible.
If he hadn't used his delicious signature dishes to ask that blond Traveler for help back then, so many people wouldn't know him now. He had to admit he'd benefited from the Traveler's fame.
Still, after the blond Traveler had rescued Mulin for the one hundred and first time in a dangerous area teeming with wild monsters, Mulin had to wonder: Wasn't the Traveler running into him "by accident" an awful lot?
Before Mulin could figure out why, the blond Traveler appeared again with the little white flying creature at his side, and the two of them tricked him into going with them...
Aether: It's not like I want to keep "accidentally" running into him, but his cooking really is amazing, and every dish gives top-notch effects!
Aether: Besides, have you ever seen anyone take their food into the Abyss? Just the fact that his homemade dishes can be taken into the Abyss is enough to convince me.
I'm still thinking about the pairing. For now, it's Aether x Mulin.
Since the main story is about the protagonist's travels in another world and what he sees and hears, romance won't be the focus. Most likely, it'll simply be there to ease the protagonist's homesickness.
Theme: I love the stories that take place in Teyvat so much that I wanted to try recording what the protagonist sees and hears there through his travels. This story will focus on travel, with romance as a supporting element.
