The Core Trick to Winning Over the Professor (Honkai: Star Rail)

Working Title: The Core Scheme for Wooing a Professor (Honkai: Star Rail)

Complaint letters are practically bursting the company’s inbox. Almost everyone is furious about the newly appointed executive, Aventurine.

Because of his sordid past and his record of countless misdeeds, nobody thinks well of him. Everyone opposes him. Some have even framed him and set traps for him. But they also fear his incredible luck, as well as his methods and cunning.

So, after a banquet that was clearly a trap, Aventurine woke up to find a man lying beside him. He didn't know him well, but he recognized him: Veritas Ratio, a professor at the Intelligentsia Guild, with countless achievements and research accomplishments to his name. A success, and an exceptional one at that.

It was obvious that the professor, like Aventurine, had no intention of talking about what happened last night. They would just pretend it never happened.

The next time they met, Aventurine's superior introduced the professor as a potential business partner. And that night, they repeated their mistake.

By the time Aventurine had established himself at the company, he had also managed to get the professor's house key.

Well, who's to say this wasn't all part of the scheme?
