[Sequel: How to Deal with a Yandere Hearing My Conquest Progress (Transmigrated into a Book), blurb at the very bottom. Rolling around and begging you to add it to your favorites!]
Case-of-the-week side plots + a revenge-driven main plot.
※ [Beautiful, Powerful, and Tragic × Beautiful, Powerful, and Tragic] A gentle, scheming, blind celestial master × a half-ghost li ba who loves and hates without reservation
※ The first two chapters open with the perspective of an inn waiter and the male lead. The story then primarily follows the female lead's perspective.
[Female Lead's Blurb]
As a li ba, Die Yi has lived in the remote wilderness since birth, with neither father nor mother.
The first time she came down from the mountain, children at the village entrance laughed at the scar on her face.
The second time, she came down to find food for mortals, but a Taoist priest mistook her for a female ghost and shouted for people to beat and kill her.
The third time, she only wanted to save someone, but once again ran into that stinking Taoist priest swindling people in the street. She stepped forward to expose his tricks, only to become embroiled in a strange case involving a bride found hanged.
The village brides had all seemed perfectly fine on their wedding days, yet the next day they were found one after another, hanged from the same crooked tree at the village entrance, their deaths horrifying.
Was some evil spirit responsible, or had a human done it?
When she summons the Rebirth Butterfly, she can enter the memories of the dead and give voice to their unspeakable grievances.
After the case was solved, Die Yi thought she would return to a peaceful life, but she never expected things to be so simple...
[Male Lead's Blurb]
Seventeen years ago, his master disappeared. As the senior disciple of Taiyan Dao, Li Changfeng took his junior brothers and sisters down the mountain to travel and search for their master.
One day, they finally found a trace of their master in a village in the wilderness. There, he met a li ba.
He never imagined that their chance meeting would change the course of his life.
Years later, the aging emperor asked in frustration, "Why did you give up the throne?"
Li Changfeng looked compassionately at his father, who relied on elixirs for company, and replied softly, "She said she wanted to be as free as the wind."
"So I became her wind."
May the butterfly ride the long wind and cross the vast sea with you.
[Little Scene]
As she helped him walk, Die Yi noticed Li Changfeng's dangling arm occasionally brushing against the storybook in her arms.
As if asking casually, she said, "How did you know there was a letter written in the storybook?"
"It was just an illusion spell." Remembering how someone had looked down on him when he tried to teach her the voice-transmission talisman, Li Changfeng smiled. It was as if peach blossoms had burst into bloom in the mountains. "If you want to learn, I'll teach you."
Die Yi lifted her chin and glanced toward the horizon. "I don't particularly want to learn. You're the one insisting on teaching me."
"All right, I'm the one insisting on teaching you." He chuckled softly.
Reading Guide:
① An alternate-history setting with plenty of original worldbuilding and elements of mystery-solving. The plot-to-romance ratio is six to four.
② The romance between the leads is a slow burn. Case-of-the-week side plots featuring an ensemble cast run alongside the main story, in which the female lead uncovers her origins, seeks revenge, and brings evildoers to justice. Each case is closely tied to the main plot.
③ The story has foreshadowing and twists. The leads may do things early on that are hard to understand, but explanations will come later.
④ The female lead's face and the male lead's eyes will gradually recover toward the end.
⑤ Rolling around and begging for favorites! New author looking for friends, and discussion is welcome in the comments!

This is the next story I'm planning to write, a sweet little treat.
[Blurb]
Lu Wan, a laid-back college student, stayed up late reading a novel on a certain fiction site and transmigrated into the book as its wicked female antagonist, the Eldest Princess of the Qing Kingdom.
The System tells her that if she wants to go home, she must use genuine affection to conquer the male lead, who loves her but cannot have her, and whom she imprisoned and drove to become a villain.
Lu Wan: ...So I just have to be sincere? Are you sure?
-
The original male lead, Xie Chenyuan, is a genuine yandere. He has the standard underdog-to-king script of a male power fantasy, and through destiny and good fortune, he rises from a convict slave in the princess's manor to become emperor.
The first thing he does after making it to the top is behead her, the wicked female antagonist.
On the day Xie Chenyuan ascends the throne, she is tortured to death by a thousand cuts before the masses. Her head is hung on the city wall to dry. Her death is utterly gruesome.
Meanwhile, he stands atop the wall with his beloved, enjoying the adoration of the people, his expression utterly calm.
And so she becomes nothing more than a stepping stone on the male lead's path to success.
-
Brr... Lu Wan draws a deep breath.
It's fine. Based on her years of reading novels, in this sort of situation, all she has to do is transmigrate back to the male lead's childhood, cling to him, and win him over by redeeming and saving him.
But the System tells her that she has arrived at exactly the moment when she imprisoned Xie Chenyuan and beat him until his skin was torn and his flesh bruised.
In short...
The original owner abused him, and now she has to take the blame.
"???" Lu Wan forces a smile, grits her teeth, and says, "You son of a... If you want me dead, just say so. You don't have to give me a mission first."
Reading Guide:
① The male lead is a genuinely cruel, black-hearted yandere. He really does want to kill the female lead at first, and he really is gradually won over later.
② The author is terrible at writing blurbs. This version is temporary and will be revised. Screenshot taken on 2024/7/16.
Theme: A pure flower blooms in a land of sin.
"The Girl and the Boy Sheathing the Sword" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ Girl corresponds to boy, baby, boy is the age group ~ It would be weird to write it this way, as if it is saying "the woman who just sheathed the sword", excluding "girl" from "boy".
Sure enough, it's not a good thing, otherwise the heroine's mother and Zhang Ruoyu would definitely be able to live a safe and smooth life
Don't pick it up from men on the roadside.
As soon as the word "Master Mother" came out, I had a vision of Little Mom's literature, hahahaha
In this case, I think both Xiaobai and Cui Ting are the murderers.
I love the heroine very much, and using revenge as a clue to show that it is indeed righteous. Dieyi will not indulge in revenge, but will continue to grow and stick to the Taoist heart???
Will there be any extras after the update?
Mei Niang has been dead for so many years, and she still wants to protect the young prince.
"Congratulations, Grandpa Lu!" "Catch a big bug for the author~
"As soon as the butterfly leaves the flower," I'd like to give the author a clue. Shouldn't it be "once it leaves"? 🧋
