The Handsome Emperor Wanders into a Shura Field

[There isn't another emperor under heaven as spineless and useless as he is.]

A battlefield of men vying for favor, with hair-pulling and real palace intrigue

Blurb:

Shang Zhuqing was born with an unspeakable physical affliction, and he was more dull-witted than most. He was a puppet emperor who didn't look like a crown prince even in a dragon robe.

Fortunately, the Empress Dowager wielded an iron fist and overruled all opposition, choosing “male consorts” for him from among the great noble families. Though the move was unprecedented, it managed to keep the old foxes in court in check and secure his hold on the throne.

Who knew that his good days would come to an end? The Empress Dowager passed away, and Shang Zhuqing knew he had lost his backer. All he wanted was to keep his head down and live in peace

Unfortunately, fate had other plans... For some reason, the male consorts who had always hated him to the bone changed their tune. They began fighting for his favor and competing to outshine one another...

From then on, there was not a single day of peace in the harem. Meanwhile, continuous panting and soft sobs could always be heard from Shang Zhuqing's Hall of Mental Cultivation.

Short scenes:

1. “Your Majesty! Lord Duan and Lord Chu are fighting again in the imperial garden!”

Shang Zhuqing (rubbing his forehead): “I'll go take a look.”

2. “Your Majesty! The Empress, Lord Chu, has put Lord Duan under house arrest again in the name of the central palace!”

Shang Zhuqing (on the verge of tears): “I'll go talk to him.”

3. “Your Majesty! Eunuch Nangong bribed the Imperial Household Department to dock Lord Chu's monthly allowance!”

Shang Zhuqing (flipping the table): Can't you people go one single day without causing trouble?!
