The last time Xie Chunying saw his nemesis was at an interstellar conference. At the time, Xie Chunying was attending as a human general.
The meeting hadn't started yet. Xie Chunying propped his head up in boredom and listened to his subordinates chatting beside him.
Subordinate: "I heard General Ashton is going back this time to take part in the Zerg matching program."
Xie Chunying immediately perked up, shouting in his mind, Who did you say?
Subordinate: "What a shame, my *****."
Xie Chunying: What kind of lewd talk is that?!
Subordinate: "After working so hard all my life, I hope I can be a male Zerg in my next life and enjoy the good life."
Xie Chunying's expression stiffened slightly, as though the comment had hit a nerve.
He had two secrets.
First, he wasn't actually human. He was a male Zerg who had taken the name Sergei and come to the Human Alliance.
Second, he wasn't from this world. He had transmigrated here, and used to be human.
Once the meeting began, Xie Chunying looked at his nemesis's icy face as he argued against him, and remembered all the times they'd opposed each other in the past.
He immediately felt annoyed.
After the meeting, back at the Alliance, Xie Chunying dug out the communicator he hadn't used in years.
Looking at the stiff smile on his nemesis's photo on the matching screen, Xie Chunying jabbed at it, hard.
After all, his nemesis was a prince of the Empire, handsome, rich, high-ranking, and fit. Most importantly, he had white hair. Lots of male Zerg would want to take part in the matching program, so there was no way Xie Chunying would be matched with him.
When the results came out, they'd matched.
Xie Chunying lost his nerve.
Xie Chunying thought angrily that he wasn't going back to Zerg territory anyway, so he could just leave his nemesis hanging.
