Amuro Has a Special Way of Raising Cats

[Posting weekly while doing an internship. I like suddenly writing what-if scenarios, so feel free to skip them. 70% anti-piracy protection.] Rei got entangled with the new neighbor who’d just moved in next door. Like an extremely capricious cat, he never considered what the other person wanted and just dragged them off to play. He was especially good at causing trouble, then acting cute and innocent until the others willingly cleaned up after him. What could Rei do? He could only reluctantly keep him around. He was a little hard to tame, though, and even tried to run away from home. You just have to spoil a cat like that. What else can you do? / After moving to Tokyo, Hiromitsu met two classmates who had absolutely no sense of boundaries. He tried countless times to ditch them, but nothing worked. As time went by, the two only got more childish, and the trouble they caused got bigger and bigger. Hiromitsu had to give up on the idea and join in instead. Better to torment others than be tormented. / Mochizuki Kaito is an esper, but he really hates his ability. His motto in life: I hope something interesting happens every day. The neighbor next door looks so much like caramel cake, Kaito’s favorite dessert in the whole world. Mochizuki Kaito promptly decided to cling to him, even though the neighbor kept trying to catch him. Cats don’t want to be kept by anyone, but since he likes me so much, I suppose I can stay a few more days. [Reader’s Guide] 1. OOC warning. 2. Rei won’t go undercover. He’s a public-facing police officer who will still fight the Organization, just by different means. 3. The focus is on childhood friends being affectionate. They’ll start dating in college (important). 4. Tennis gets a fair amount of focus. That’s right, Rei goes along to win the World Cup. [Upcoming] "Matsuda Works Hard Every Day to Collect Sunshine" (pairing: Matsuda) Takehara Yusuke transmigrated, and by the basic rules of transmigration, he should have a golden finger. Looking at the sunflower in his arms, beaming with a radiant smile, Takehara Yusuke fell silent. ...Whose golden finger starts with a pot of sunflowers? Yes, the kind from that game where they eat brains. Perhaps because this is a science-themed world, the sunflower can actually bring people back to life. But it only produces one unit of sunlight every hour, and it has to be collected within a minute. In short, if Takehara Yusuke collected sunlight nonstop, without sleep or breaks, it would still take around ten years to revive one person. He tried all sorts of ways to automate the task, but they all failed. Still, the sunflower had one perfect feature: it could have two collectors besides Takehara Yusuke. Ahem, two unlucky suckers working for free. Just as Takehara Yusuke was congratulating himself that he didn’t need to revive anyone, he searched through his memories and realized that Hagiwara Kenji had saved his life, and had died in the line of duty recently. Hagiwara Kenji! The guy from the little elementary school detective’s world who can take down a helicopter with one ball!!! Takehara Yusuke turned to stone. He knew himself well enough to realize he needed to save up one revival. This is the Grim Reaper’s world, where you can expect to lose a life every day! As for collector number one, ahem, the one doing all the work, the choice is obvious: Matsuda Jinpei. He won’t refuse to bring his childhood friend back, right? Takehara Yusuke pulled out a sheet of paper and began drafting a plan: how to get closer to Matsuda Jinpei and convince him that the sunflower could revive his childhood friend. Hagiwara, I hope you’ll protect me so Matsuda doesn’t think I’m crazy and throw me out! Otherwise, you might have to wait twenty years before you can come back and revive all your childhood friends, your two fellow police academy classmates, and one of their girlfriends, one by one, working overtime. After all, you can’t expect someone who only knows a little computer science, can’t lift or carry anything, and barely exercises beyond walking around the house to rescue people. Oh, not twenty years. Once Conan appears, who knows when that year will end. Maybe we’ll be able to revive you then. That is, if Takehara Yusuke survives the Grim Reaper’s aura. Reader’s Guide: 1. Pairing: Matsuda Jinpei. 2. OOC warning. Theme: Healing and growing together through companionship
