[After countless reboots, one worldline struggled to survive in the cracks between worlds, choosing to flee toward the unknown rather than face destruction or bring destruction upon others.
Worldline: Oh no, something seems to be wrong. Can someone tell me why getting a happy ending is so hard?!]
After an accident in his childhood, Lu Mingfei's view of the world changes completely. He believes that if something exists, it must make sense.
You want to know why?
All Lu Mingfei can say is: Don't ask, don't worry about it. Get your fortune told and you'll understand.
You want to keep asking why?
All Lu Mingfei can say is: A Taoist priest? I'm not one, I swear. Don't make things up.
Later, another accident happens. He actually receives an admission letter from a school on the other side of the ocean.
Cassell? What the heck is that? Never heard of it. Probably a scam.
But before he can firmly refuse, a Taoist priest surnamed Chen, named Qinghe, blocks every last word of his refusal.
Fine, looks like I have to go. I might as well go to the interview.
After two meetings, driven by all the complicated feelings he can't quite put into words, he chooses to cross the ocean for someone.
Then another bolt from the blue leaves him completely stunned. What? You're saying I'm a reptilian? Can I still get off this ship?
But since he's here, he might as well make the best of it. At worst, he'll give them a taste of the shock and awe of Eastern mystic power. Lu Mingfei decides to go along with it.
He keeps this up until he's cornered in front of an alley.
A fierce battle rages outside the alley. Crouched against the wall, Lu Mingfei starts missing his ordinary life, which is gone for good.
Then he hears a familiar voice.
Only then does it dawn on him: Damn... maybe there really is no getting off this ship. If he can't get off, he might as well go help him.
Bang
To find out what happens next, tune in next time.
(P.S. This is the only story among all the worldlines to come into contact with the truth.
A few things to know before reading:
1. This is a fanfic based on the original work. You could think of it as a heavily altered version of the original.
2. Lu Mingfei is a Taoist priest in this story, and his personality differs from the original. Be warned, be warned, be warned.
3. Other characters besides Mingfei may also be out of character. The truth is, I can't quite get them right.
4. The main pairing is Chu Zihang x Lu Mingfei. All the plot serves Chu-Lu, and the ultimate goal is to give them a happy ending (with elements related to past and present lives).
5. My writing and skills aren't great, so abrupt plot developments caused by my lack of ability are to be expected.
6. Several original characters will appear, and I'll try to fill in the worldline based on the original work.
7. Some other details are made up. All metaphysical content in the story is invented and not meant to be scrutinized. Just enjoy it for fun.
8. The Feize brothers are not the Black and White Kings. The World Tree is someone else.
9. The inspiration came from joking with friends while reading Dragon Raja: "Why aren't there any Chinese dragons? They should give the Dragon Clan a taste of the shock and awe of Eastern mystic power." So this is an impulsive passion project, and even the names were picked at random.
10. If all of the above is fine with you, enjoy reading.
(P.S. If you can keep reading, we're friends.
Also: This was moved over from a certain L, and future updates will be posted in both places.
Theme: Breaking free from the tides of fate
After all, it was my senior brother who made the first move.
Madam, I didn't come to see you in time when school started recently [turned out] 🥺
This chapter is about a senior teaching his younger brother how to fall in love 🐶 (sure)
So Xuanchu and Yuanqing were Lu Ming and not Lu Mingze's previous lives respectively.
Emma! This is the first time I've seen a fanfic with such a novel setting.
Ming's non-perverted attributes have been exposed 🐶 and he gets started immediately
Chu Lu's interaction in this chapter is delicious [Like]
I finished reading it in one sitting, it was well written [Panda Head]
Came over from over there hehe [let me be healthy]
Why hasn't it been updated yet? ≥≤
