Qin Yaoguang passed the imperial examination at seventeen and became a close aide to the emperor at twenty-three. He weathered the ups and downs of court politics, and believed he had devoted himself heart and soul to his country and family. In time, he helped restore a crumbling realm, only to be left sick and broken himself.
With peace and prosperity finally within reach, Qin Yaoguang breathed a sigh of relief and wrote a memorial requesting leave on account of illness. He said he had no set date to return and planned to travel, admire flowers, and keep birds.
But the memorial never made it to the throne. The next day, the young emperor casually tossed a memorial accusing him onto the desk in front of him, with a blood-written letter attached, every character searing with anguish. The Censorate accused him of deceiving the emperor, cultivating a faction, and harboring disloyal ambitions known to all.
The emperor's wrath could leave a million corpses in its wake.
The young man Qin Yaoguang had raised looked at him. The emperor gazed at him from beneath his crown. Only then did Qin Yaoguang realize that those eyes clearly held a frenzied hatred.

Qin Yaoguang had thought Zhong Weixia might exile him, kill him, or even torture him and humiliate him. He never imagined Zhong Weixia would announce to the world that he was dead.
Zhong Weixia's hand closed around his fragile throat, forcing him to look up, though his voice was gentle. "Teacher, your health is poor. Why not stay here and recuperate?"
Qin Yaoguang sneered. "Your Majesty, Qin Yaoguang has already been driven out of the capital by you and become a laughingstock throughout the realm. There is no Qin Yaoguang left in this city."
Zhong Weixia took his cold gaze in stride. Qin Yaoguang could hate him or resent him as much as he liked. In the end, fate had bound them together.
Later, rumors spread that Qin Yaoguang was being kept by the emperor. His close friend risked his life to meet him in the palace. "The emperor is a complete bastard. I'll find a way to get you out."
Qin Yaoguang smiled and jingled the chain around his wrist. "No need."
His close friend was baffled. "What do you mean?"
"From the classics, poetry, rites, and music, to right and wrong, every last thing I taught him. Even if he has made some mistake, it isn't for anyone else to criticize him."
"He doesn't know how to love someone. I'll teach him myself."
How do you make a beautiful, sickly yandere?
Spend nearly ten years teaching him with care, pruning his branches.
Then lure him in, possess him, and savor him.

2. The characters' values don't represent the author's! The author is civilized and polite, loves learning, and believes in science (*^^~~).
