Act One:

Later, Wu Qingyun finally couldn't hold back and confessed her feelings.

Act Three:
On her twentieth birthday, Gu Xiyao learned about her girlfriend's illness and, fighting back her pain, asked Wu Qingyun:
"Please let me, someone who can't manifest, be your good friend."
Wu Qingyun's fingers tightened slightly around the ring. The smile at the corner of her lips vanished in an instant.
"Sure. Then let's never see each other again. My future partner would get jealous, after all."
Little bonus scene:
Pet beasts like unicorns and nine-tailed foxes formed a circle around their little owner, who sat on a blanket and happily flipped through an old book called the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
Whenever the pages stopped turning, the open book showed a similar ancient illustration of a pet beast on one side and a description in classical Chinese on the other.
Whenever she saw a familiar picture, she would clap and babble happily, then crawl over to the corresponding pet beast and give it a big kiss.
In the end, every pet beast was covered in milky baby drool, and the baby had fallen fast asleep against the sofa, still clutching the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
