Pampering the Snake: Give It a Kiss

* Everyday life raising a snake (not really), a sweet little romance~ * Aloof beauty vs. sweet and gentle girl * Also known as "The Pretty Little Snake Turns Human to Repay Her Kindness" Song Keling is a sophomore at the School of Biology at Xinda University. During a field practicum, she comes across a little white snake injured by a falling rock. Its scales shimmer like crystal, its ridged spine is clearly defined, and its vertical pupils are a brilliant red. It is impossibly beautiful. Her classmates crowd around to confirm, "It's highly venomous!!" Song Keling saves the little white snake from the brink of death. Her upperclassmen tease her, calling her the modern-day Xu Xian. They joke that once the white snake cultivates into human form, it'll come looking for her to repay her kindness. She laughs and says, "Bring it on. I definitely won't faint from fright." After the snake recovers, Song Keling takes it back to the wilderness to release it. But when she wakes up, she finds it beside her pillow. Song Keling jolts upright in terror, nearly forgetting how to breathe! The little snake, the culprit, tilts its head as if wondering what's wrong with her. Later, Song Keling tells her roommates about the strange things the little white snake does, as if it understands people. Her roommate says, "Sure, sure. It's about to turn human and ask you to marry it any day now." Unconvinced, Song Keling writes a question asking the white snake if it's a demon. The little white snake can't read. It wriggles seductively across an A4 sheet of paper, then curls its slender tail around Song Keling's fingertip, flicking its tongue and acting cute to win her affection. Song Keling thinks for a moment, then tentatively asks, "Can you understand human speech? Give me a kiss?" The little snake understands and zips straight at her! At the last possible moment, Song Keling grabs its tail. "No! You're venomous." The little snake: Q A Q? Note: When I first came up with the blurb, Keling's name was inspired by the English word "clean." Qianqian came from my personal preference and a private little whim. Hope you enjoy reading!
