A Plan to Rewrite the Detective Story

Xingye Zhiming died three times. The first time, his childhood friend killed him in his own world. The second time, on his way to being revived, he accidentally kicked himself out of the world that the System called the Detective Conan world while trying to kick someone else's lunchbox. The third time was also in the Detective Conan world, and this time he got himself killed on purpose, all for the sake of truly coming back to life.

Xingye Zhiming has three identities.

One is Xingye Zhiming, a righteous police academy student in the Detective Conan world. In the future, whenever people bring him up, they will sigh with grief and regret over the lost police officer.

Another is Hasegawa Natsuki, an all-around fun-seeker who moves between the light and dark sides of the world. He is another independent personality split off from Xingye's consciousness, and the two are closely connected.

The third is Nishikawa Shin, codename Margaret, a member of the dark side of the organization amid the clash between black and red. He is the organization's experimental subject and its sharpest blade.

In his second life,

the unreliable System told him it could bring him back to life, on the condition that he help change the plot and earn spotlight points. Fine, no problem. But as Xingye Zhiming diligently worked to earn spotlight points, the story that unfolded next left him utterly dumbfounded.

This world is ridiculous!

Are bombs really that cheap? Yes, they really are, because one could show up at any moment.

So many criminal cases? Hah, nothing surprising there. This is the Detective Conan world, after all.

Is the Black Organization powerful? No, no, they're all undercover agents. Oh, and it turns out several of my classmates are destined to die! It's fine, I can save them. No big deal.

So he used the other two secret identities the System gave him to work even harder at changing the plot and earning spotlight points, while also figuring out how to keep his classmates from getting killed. But the story just kept getting more and more ridiculous!

System! Do I really have to earn these spotlight points?!

Xingye Zhiming: Jianggu, you're "Zero."

Hasegawa Natsuki: Officer Matsuda, could you stop getting so prickly around me?

Nishikawa Shin: Bourbon, who are you looking at through my eyes?

As the plot changed, the truth behind a series of baffling mysteries gradually came to light.
