I Mistook My Boss for My Online Dating Partner

Bai Jingnian met a girlfriend online. They exchanged photos and voice messages, too.

After chatting enthusiastically for three months, Bai returned to China because of a job change. She wanted to surprise her girlfriend, so she didn't tell her she was back, but secretly asked about her preferences.

Bai Jingnian returned with a gift and, following the address and details her girlfriend had given her, found the apartment where she lived. She planned to wait there until her girlfriend got off work and surprise her.

She had been in the lobby for only five minutes when her girlfriend appeared.

Bai Jingnian realized her girlfriend was a few centimeters taller than she'd said. She was just as beautiful as in the photos, but her demeanor was quite different from when they chatted. She looked much more serious.

Bai Jingnian quietly crept up behind her girlfriend, leaped up, hugged her, and kissed her on the cheek.

"Surprise!"

The next day, when Bai Jingnian reported to her new company, she discovered that her girlfriend was actually her boss.

A month later, her WeChat account was finally unblocked. The moment she opened it, she was bombarded with messages from her girlfriend asking where she was.

Her: ???
