In a small city in southern China, the clever and sweet-natured Sun Xiaojing meets the Lin family's six-year-old triplets when she is eight. Deeply captivated by their dazzling presence onstage, she etches them into her memory.
A year later, to her surprise, the three Lin brothers transfer schools for family reasons and become Xiaojing's junior schoolmates. The youngest brother, Lin Tianrui, falls for the aloof senior Hu Yunqi and goes alone to the provincial capital to attend a gifted students' program, hoping to enter university at the same time as her.
In high school, Xiaojing chooses preparing for university over Xia Songming. She also avoids and ignores Lin Tianyu's confession. At last, after day after day of hard work and guidance from Hu Yunqi, Xiaojing gets into a top university.
