[Omniscient perspective]
The Fox King accidentally dug himself into a hole.
He tried to climb out, but every time he clawed his way up,
he couldn't get out, and only made the hole bigger.
With no other choice, he had to wait for his future wife
to come and haul him out!
[Fox Emperor's perspective]
The Fox King had merely drunk too much, yet somehow ended up at his fiancee's door.
And what a coincidence: he happened upon her as she was heading out for a walk alone?
Behind the scenes, part one:
"My wife wants to divorce me," said Li Xing, the Fox King.
"Did you agree?" the author asked.
"I did," the Fox King said, nodding.
"Don't you like her?" the author asked with a frown.
"As long as my wife is happy." Li Xing smiled faintly, leisurely watching the flowers bloom and wither in the courtyard.
Behind the scenes, part two:
"My wife wants to rekindle our romance," said Li Xing, the Fox King.
"Did you agree?" the author asked.
"I did," the Fox King said, nodding.
"Aren't you the Fox King? Don't you have any pride?" the author asked with a frown.
"As long as my wife is happy." Li Xing smiled faintly, watching the clouds drift across the sky.
Behind the scenes, part three:
"How did I never know you had this kind of quirk? You like teasing your own wife?" asked Li Xing's friend, Emperor Qingxuan, raising an eyebrow.
"It's called romance. You wouldn't understand," Li Xing replied leisurely.
"What if she finds out one day?" Emperor Qingxuan asked, eating melon.
"Then that'll be another kind of romance," Li Xing said, taking a sip of tea.
