Synopsis
The day Lin Ke logged into the account of a new client, a deluge of abusive messages appeared, and his game character was hunted down wherever he went. Amid this sweeping campaign against him, Lin Ke figured the account owner must have gotten into trouble and chosen him to take the fall.
The player who killed him the most, and most brutally, was the top spender on the server, ranked first in combat power and popularity: the rich whale [One Sword, Cold Blossom].
The matter spilled over into their guilds, and the two guild leaders met to face off. [One Sword, Cold Blossom] was halfway through an impassioned tirade over voice chat when he suddenly disconnected. A few minutes later, he reconnected, and a man's voice completely different from before came through the microphone, low and deep: "So lively. Is this a guild alliance by marriage?"
After the misunderstanding was cleared up, Lin Ke failed to get his money from the account owner and was blocked instead. Swallowing his frustration, he threw a "stinky egg nobody wants" at the passing [One Sword, Cold Blossom].
The System immediately broadcast a message to the world chat:
"Player [I'd Rather Die Than Spend] has gifted player [One Sword, Cold Blossom] a Mandarin Duck Egg. Their tender affection has moved the fish in Longyang River and triggered the 'Fishing for Two' quest. Complete it to receive an unknown reward."
Lin Ke: ...Go to hell with that tender affection!
He was about to reject the quest when a message popped up:
"Player [One Sword, Cold Blossom] has requested to become your martial arts friend."
[Money-hoarding, prickly bottom x Rich, spoiled, sharp-tongued top]
● 1v1, happy ending, each other's one and only
● Neither of them has manners, decency, or morals, but neither picks a fight first. (I really wanted to read about a sharp-tongued character, so I wrote it myself!)
● Fictional online game setting. I did my best to flesh out the world, so please ignore any bugs.
● The online game will probably take up a fairly large portion of the story. Overall, it's a lighthearted short novel of 100,000-200,000 characters.
Theme: A gentleman loves wealth, but acquires it through honest means
