My Wooden Door Leads to the Republic of China

Chu Wan pushed open the weathered wooden door of the old house, only to step into Haishi in 1936.

The bustle and prosperity of the foreign concessions rushed toward her, while the door behind her opened onto the modern city of 2025.

By a stroke of luck, she saved a friend with a lipstick. From then on, the modern goods she carried became highly coveted treasures in the Republic of China.

From small things like lipstick and chocolate to big-ticket items like watches and antibiotics...

Before long, Lin Wan's "curiosities" had taken Shanghai's high society by storm. Under the name Lin Trading Company, she traveled between two eras, bringing modern goods to the Republic of China and antiques from that era back to the modern world. Wealth and fame followed one after another, but so did the covetous attention of various powers.
