[Classic Literature Crossover] This Male Lead Is Not Normal

After Freya dies, the System gives her a new life. In exchange, she has to work hard to win the love of certain people, and...

[I only want the love of geniuses.]

"...That sounds really hard. I'm not sure I can do it."

[No, it's not hard. You just need to follow them around and put up with the little quirks that geniuses have, the ones nobody else understands.]

Freya believed it, and then everything went terribly wrong.

World One [Perfume: The Story of a Murderer] Synopsis:

Freya makes bold promises to the System, only to be ground into the dirt by life among the poor in eighteenth-century France from the start.

Poverty, disease, hunger, and death.

After her character has been scrapped twice, the System finally sees that its Host is hopeless and makes her the much-beloved daughter of Baldini, a Parisian perfumer.

Freya grows up safe and sound, and meets Grenouille, who has also grown up and come to the shop as an apprentice.

A beautiful young lady from a wealthy family and a talented but poor apprentice. Surely all those novels she'd read would come in handy now?

Convinced she's figured out the script, Freya immediately launches into her seemingly steady but actually nerve-racking campaign to win him over.

Then she does a whole lot of work, and when she checks her score... it's 0.5.

As Grenouille would tell it, Freya's arrival was merely an inevitable, undefinable accident along the road of his life, as he pursued the world's finest scents.

For Grenouille, an orphan shunned by everyone and lacking ordinary human emotions, who has always struggled simply to survive, there is nothing in this world that belongs to him.

Only scents, which nobody else can truly experience and which only he can control and understand, are his world.

And in his kingdom of scents, Freya, wealthy, beautiful, lively, adored by all, yet without a scent, is the one with nothing, the one who could never hold his gaze.

Until the day she dies.

Theme: Love is the strongest chain of all.
