The Landlord's Son Is Kind of Fierce

Teacher VS International Doctor

Xia Zhi is a kindergarten teacher who rents the second floor of an old granny's courtyard house. The granny is kind, and the neighbors are friendly too.

Then one afternoon, Xia Zhi came home from school. She had just taken out her key and opened the courtyard gate when she saw a man in a green tank top and shorts, his muscles bulging, bring his knife down and chop off a chicken's head. The blood splashed right by her feet.

Just a day earlier, that chicken had been happily hopping around to greet her at the gate.

From then on, Xia Zhi, who used to join the aunties and older ladies in the courtyard for square dancing every evening after dinner, never went downstairs again.

Yet this very man, the one Xia Zhi feared, stood in front of her without hesitation when a student's parent harassed her and people pointed fingers at her.
