[Ne Zha] Flowers and Lotus Roots

[Entering V on May 7. A 10,000-character chapter will drop at midnight on launch day~]

Ye Lihua transmigrates and becomes... a lush, leafy pear tree in the Chen Tang Pass Commander's residence.

At long last, her efforts pay off and she successfully takes human form. Before she can even celebrate, a large robe drops over her and covers her completely.

The owner of the robe is Jin Zha, the commander's eldest son. Having spent years cultivating outside, he can tell at a glance that the girl before him is really a tree. He assumes she's a newly formed mountain spirit who has lost her way.

He explains earnestly, “Little girl, you may have just become human and not understand this yet, but unlike birds, beasts, insects, flowers, and fruit, humans don't walk around naked under the heavens. Humans have to wear clothes.”

Jin Zha is a good person, and their first meeting seems fated, so Ye Lihua is always a little closer to him afterward.

One day, the second son, Mu Zha, who also cultivates away from home, returns for a rare visit. The first thing he says when he sees her is, “Greetings, sister-in-law.”

Ye Lihua is shocked, but Commander Li doesn't deny it, and Madam Yin doesn't deny it either. Why does everyone seem to have accepted that title?!

As Ye Lihua tosses and turns in bed late that night, she hears three knocks at the door. The visitor is neither Jin Zha nor Mu Zha, but their third son, Li Nezha, notorious for his terrible reputation and for showing no regard for family. He left home on his own years ago.

Ye Lihua knows that in the future he'll cause trouble in the Eastern Sea, pull out a dragon's scales and tendons, and cut the flesh from his bones... before being reborn through a lotus.

In short, he's a genuine god of calamity. She can't afford to cross him.

The god of calamity himself flashes a pair of obedient little tiger teeth at the door. “Sister-in-law, open up. It's me, my brother.”

Please note:

1. The setting is mostly based on Investiture of the Gods, and this is essentially a romance. Please don't nitpick the details.

2. The early setting leans toward Investiture of the Gods, while the later setting leans toward Journey to the West. The story will move to a new map.
