A gentle, composed, sickly gong × a loyal-dog shou with all sorts of traits. The gong is frail, but always in control. 2. Gong-centered, 1v1. The shou is the same person in every world. 3. The first few worlds have both happy and tragic endings. The final world has a happy ending. 4. The System is only there to make snarky comments and act cute. The protagonist’s greatest golden finger is himself. 5. At heart, this is a story about a frail, swoon-worthy gong saving the shou. The gong spoils the shou, who gradually falls completely in love with him and comes to see him as the one he can never forget. None of the protagonists are perfect: they can play favorites, be selfish, hesitate, or be trapped by their obsessions. Please don’t bash the characters. The author really isn’t sensitive to or concerned with who spoils whom more, or who gives more. I think it’s enough for both sides to be worth making sacrifices for. The author likes to portray the protagonist indirectly and often switches between points of view. Some sections will definitely be from the shou’s perspective, and even from supporting characters’ perspectives, and there will be quite a few of them. This is all necessary for the plot and makes it flow more smoothly. But the gong is absolutely the protagonist, the character the author has put the most effort into, with the best characterization and the most swoon-worthy traits.
