Drawbacks: Serious OOC, writing whatever comes to mind, and a very fast pace. It involves a lot of rather inexplicable frameworks, plus the author's wonderfully awful writing. The romance is a complete mess, the romantic feeling is very faint, and a lot of the plot has no shame at all (sticking close to canon in places where it wasn't necessary). This story is the very definition of keeping the dregs and discarding the essence!!
Middle point: The ships in this story include Gintoki Sakata x Kagura, Toshiro Hijikata x Mitsuba Okita, Shinsuke Takasugi x Matako Kijima, and Isao Kondo x Tae Shimura (as well as other canon pairings). I'm not saying I'll spend a lot of time specifically depicting them (though I'm not saying I won't, either). They'll just come up whenever I think of them, with little hints of romantic tension tucked away in all sorts of corners. My ships are rarepairs, but that's fine. I'll dote on them with my flawed writing and OOC characterization. Still, this won't suit anyone who doesn't want to read these ships at all!
Good point: I unexpectedly found the original reason I started writing fanfiction (meaning I had a lot of fun writing it). I made myself laugh.
In conclusion: A world where the only happy person is the author has been achieved!!
