Cola and Ginger Tea

This is not a switch couple story. I don't know why it's showing up as one, and I can't change it.

Xu Yu's grandfather had once helped Lin Chaoci. Lin Chaoci's mother died when he was seven, and Lin Quan Kang was always busy with work and often couldn't look after him. Forced to be independent at such a young age, Lin Chaoci would often forget his keys and end up sitting outside his own home, crying. With retirement approaching, Grandpa Xu spent a lot of time at home. Whenever he heard Lin Chaoci crying, he would open the door and bring him back to his own place. First, he would tell him stories to comfort him, then make him something to eat. As time went by, the two grew closer and closer, like a grandfather and grandson.

When Lin Chaoci was ten, a woman in her early twenties came to live with Lin Quan Kang. Later, she became his stepmother.

His stepmother soon gave him a younger half-brother. Lin Chaoci couldn't fit into his new family, and every day he spent more time at Grandpa Xu's home than at his own.

Later, Grandpa Xu passed away, leaving Xu Yu an orphan before he had even turned fourteen. At twenty-two, Lin Chaoci voluntarily applied to become his guardian.

Five years passed in the blink of an eye. Lin Chaoci became an excellent doctor, and Xu Yu got into university.

Younger man. Xu Yu is the gong, Lin Chaoci is the shou.

All names of people and places in this story are fictional. Any similarities are purely coincidental.
