Eirika got a golden finger called the [Gotham Survival Simulator]. But she didn't think there was anything around her that could threaten her life. Her father was Gotham's richest man, Bruce Wayne. She also had four brothers, each of them incredibly kind to her. She thought life here was wonderful. So the Simulator must have picked the wrong person, right? That's what she thought, right up until her beloved dad shot her dead. [Age 18. You died at the hands of the Batman Who Laughs.] [Simulation ended. Start the next round?] In the CG image, a corpse lay on the ground with its eyes open, while Batman stood nearby, laughing. Eirika: 6 What could be worse than finding out that your dad, who you thought was gentle and who kept getting injured doing extreme sports, was Batman? Finding out Batman had become the Batman Who Laughs. After failing the simulation for the hundredth time, Eirika angrily smashed the Simulator in her hand. Ten seconds later, she quietly picked it back up. I can't take this anymore. How about I become Batman? [Congratulations, you successfully usurped the throne.] [Congratulations, you have become Batman.] Eirika let out a quiet, mocking laugh. Life was a piece of cake. [Age 25. You were infected with Joker venom.] [You picked up the Simulator and sent a message.] [System message received. View it?] Eirika was so scared she shut it down immediately, breaking out in a cold sweat. When she turned it back on, a grinning face filled the screen. ["Hi? This time, I finally became you."] Her heart raced... her hands trembled... Bruce, I'm sorry. You can be Batman again. [The world has been destroyed. Congratulations, you earned the title "Bloodstained Bat."] [Start the next playthrough?] [Yes] * Bruce was troubled. Or rather, all the Bats were troubled. Eirika absolutely would not give you even the slightest chance to become the Batman Who Laughs! While working on ways to keep an eye on them, Eirika unexpectedly unlocked a new Simulator feature. She could summon versions of herself that had earned titles, in the form of secret identities! And so Bloodstained Bat, Dark Lord, Rainy Night Killer, Healing Angel, War Demon, Child of Judgment, Nameless Writer... One by one, they came to her side. Yo!
