The Summoned Creator God

*

While browsing Steam, you happen upon a little game that mixes cultivation, survival, base-building, and more. Its public beta has just launched today.

On this barren land lives a group of pixel heroes with astonishing vitality. They struggle against the harsh, cursed environment, gathering all kinds of supplies to survive and using their frail bodies to hold back the encroaching darkness. Under the gods' protection, they build a home.

You're quite interested in this rehashed, pay-to-win game, so after downloading it, you're happy to use it to kill some time.

Once inside, it seems your job is to be a creator god, leading your people to gather supplies, develop their territory, and protect them as they live in a prosperous world.

Put simply, whatever your people lack or want, you have to provide it unconditionally. Only by meeting their needs can the System gain experience and level up.

The pixel heroes are collectible cards. You have to level up each character before sending them into battle. Once their affection reaches a certain level, you can even romance them and unlock a love route.

It's a character-raising card game, so why does it feel like an otome game? Does even a little game like this have to jump on the romance-route bandwagon?

You can't help feeling confused. The art is similar, and all the pixel faces look pretty much alike. Other than their different names, you can hardly tell them apart. Maybe the writers are trying to make a text-based romance game? You don't get it, but you respect their choices.

Once you realize just how much freedom the game gives you, you grow even more interested.

With all that freedom, you love steering games off the beaten path and playing however you like.

Too bad there's no save feature. Time only moves forward, and you have to leave the game running when you're away.

But after playing for a few days, you get bored and uninstall it without a second thought.

Who knew that right after uninstalling the game, you'd unexpectedly transmigrate...
