Gu Pan was the daughter of the Mighty General and the childhood sweetheart and fiancée of the Second Prince, Xie Yu.
Her almond-shaped eyes crinkled with a smile as she gazed at the composed Xie Yu.

Three years later,
Gu Pan glanced at Xie Yu, who was bowing to the new emperor below the steps, and quickly lowered her eyes.
The emperor smiled and patted her hand, teasing, "My beloved consort, now that you've seen your imperial brother, have you forgotten who he is?"

Three years after the late emperor's death, Prince of Ning Xie Yu led his troops back to the capital.
After the palace banquet, beneath the hazy moonlight, he appeared silently in Gu Pan's chambers, his presence filled with killing intent.
His gaze was cold as ice. Seeing the little princess lying in her cradle and babbling, he sneered, "Noble Consort, long time no see."
